Last October Simon Cowell had a nasty fall at his home in London after he fainted and fell down some stairs. At the time the Britain’s Got Talent judge was seen being taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Shortly after the fall took place Simon explained he had woken up feeling dizzy that morning, so he tried to make his way downstairs to get a glass of hot milk, which was when he fell.
It was later revealed that luckily he wasn’t seriously injured, however he had a number of tests while in hospital and as a result found that he had low blood pressure.
Now, Simon has revealed how he has made some changes to his lifestyle in the months since his fall. The TV judge has revealed that he has tried to change his work-life balance, cutting down on late night work calls and reducing the number of meetings. The 58-year-old father also said at the time of the fall he was ‘overtired’ and that it was an ’embarrassing wake up call’.
During his time in hospital last year Simon was given an ‘MOT’ and found out there was nothing seriously wrong, however it has encouraged him to reduce his hectic schedule.
Simon is due to return as head judge in the new series of Britain’s Got Talent tomorrow (Saturday 14th April), where he will be joined by the other judges, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
Yesterday we reported the reason behind Simon’s decision to press the golden buzzer on this year’s series. Revealing one of the acts reminded him of his young son Eric, DigitalSpyreported Simon as saying, “There was this kid and I was thinking, ‘God, that literally could be Eric’. It wouldn’t be me as the dad, but it could be Eric.”
He continued, “There was something about this boy, he sang with his dad and I thought the song they wrote was really cool.”
Simon went on to explain how he could see Ant and Dec thinking about pressing their buzzer, but he felt he should press it.
“I caught a glimpse of Ant and Dec ready to run down and push the golden buzzer, and I thought, ‘No way! This one is mine!’ You have to watch this act, I think they are really great people, it’s unusual to see a dad and his son, but it worked,” the dad of one explained.
